How To: Digital Online SEO Marketing For Restaurant
I was just watching “Check Please,” a Restaurant review show on channel 9 (KQED – PBS) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I saw this review on a cool Italian restaurant in Sausalito, Marin Co, in the S.F. Bay Area and was ready to plan my next date night with my wife there. BUT, of course I couldn’t resist looking at their website a little closer. I was flabbergasted (is that still a word?) at what I saw. NO SEO at all. I mean ZERO! How Google knew to list them as a ‘Sausalito restaurant’ at all (on page 3), is amazing. Cudo’s to Google. Shame on this restaurant owner.

So it’s not too amazing that they wouldn’t realize that their local restaurant is on page 3 on Google, or is getting bad reviews on Yelp. Continue reading »

Here we are, in late 2013, and an astounding 86% of marketers say that social media is important to their business. Over 60% of them say that social media generates leads, from just 6 hours a week on the “Big Three” (Facebook, Twitter and Google+). Continue reading »
How long will you wait to G+?
If you’re sitting back, waiting for your “friends” on Facebook to join Google Plus (a.k.a. Google+ or G+) before you create a personal profile or business page, you’re truly missing out on supreme SEO real estate. Many have taken to the “wait and see” approach, especially with more social networks, now, than ever before. Nearly every day we hear, “I’m already on Facebook and Twitter, do I really need to be on Google Plus, too?” The answer is yes, but let us explain why.
SMO of SEO
Social signals from the Google+ platform are becoming more important for determining search engine results. Joshua Berg, SEO/SMO Specialist at REALSMO, calls this “the social media optimization (SMO) of SEO.” Berg explains, “social signals provide a much better way of filtering out the noise and improving the quality of search results. This is a trend that will continue because it is a much better way of understanding what people really want, which is one of Google’s founding principles.” Continue reading »
