Is Yelp right for your San Francisco Bay Area company?
We are asked all the time by small companies if they should advertise on Yelp or even pay attention to Yelp at all. In our opinion, the answer depends on the type of company you have.
The first answer (regardless of your company type) is yes, pay attention to Yelp. You probably have a Yelp listing weather you want one or not, so at least take control of your Yelp account and set it up right. You also want to keep an eye on it and see if and what kind of reviews you might be getting. We’ve seen many times when a company has had a half dozen reviews on their company and didn’t even know it. Sometimes this has been good news and sometimes very bad news when the reviews were negative or about another company, thought to be yours! Also, Yelp listings rank pretty well on Google, so you can enhance your social media presents and search engine rankings by making sure your Yelp account is setup right with the right company information and key words. Start by adding value to your blog.
You can add value to your blog by adding links and pictures. Links add a lot of value to your blog and are necessary to direct that blog traffic to other places that you really want them to go and or add more value to the blog by providing access to more information. Like your websites and or other social sites. Also use links to give any source you may have used for your blog credit. Most people or companies don’t mind you using their information as long as you give them credit. Another good way to add value to your blog is posting photos. Pictures can make your blog a lot more fun, interesting, and attractive.
